When you turn on your computer, the electricity surges you through cyberspace. Much of it is produced through the burning of coal. In my state of West Virginia, the coal barons have come up with a new method to get to the coal. They blow the mountaintops off, push the waste down in the valleys and move on to the next peak. Lawsuits have been won declaring the method violates the Clean Water Act, and the 1972 Surface Mining Act. The lawyers have somehow had these Acts ignored and more miles of streams are buried daily with the overburden waste of this miserable method. The law says much on how to proceed, but it's ignored. How can you return a mountain to it's Approximate Original Contour as the law requires? Impossible, so they don't even try. Almost level, West Virginia.
